St. Andrews Show Teams
The St. Andrews University Show Team allows you to gain experience at both USEF and local hunter/jumper shows in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The winter circuits in Jacksonville and Ocala are just a few hours away. Whether you own your own Junior/Amateur jumper or are looking to get started on a school-owned horse in the Pre-Adult hunters, St. Andrews can find the right fit and program for you to achieve your goals. The boarder barn at St. Andrews offers top care for your show horse and encourages you to take part in getting your horse settled in the program. Active involvement in your horse’s care is seen as a way for you to gain experience so you can go into the equestrian world with the “horse sense” and knowledge required to succeed in today’s industry. If you own your own horse, you can work with our trainers to go in whatever division is appropriate for you and your horse, from the Baby Green hunters for your young horse to the Amateur/Owner hunters or jumpers for your seasoned competitor, with everything in between. Your lesson schedule and program is tailored to fit your skills and your horse’s talents. If you would like to show but do not own your own horse, our trainers get to know your riding strengths and work to match you with a St. Andrews horse you enjoy and “click” with. You can show multiple horses during your time at St. Andrews or work with one in particular. St. Andrews owns and leases both hunters and jumpers; students riding school-owned horses may compete in Pre-Adult hunters, Adult Amateur hunters, and Adult Amateur jumpers, along with medals and equitation divisions.
