Submissions still being accepted for Gravity Hill

Laurinburg, N.C. – There is still time to get your submission in for inclusion in the 2012 edition of St. Andrews University’s Gravity Hill.

Gravity Hill is a student-run literary journal that is published annually in the spring,” said Dr. Ted Wojtasik, faculty advisor for the publication. “The journal was created to showcase work by St. Andrews students, faculty, alumni, staff, and friends of the College. Two years ago, we opened it up to submissions by the Scotland County community and were able to publish several pieces from this new base of authors. We are looking forward to adding even more to the collection this year.”

Anna Egeln is the student editor for the 2012 edition.

“As St. Andrews is now the host campus for the Scotland Early College High School (SEarCH), we would like to extend a special invitation to all the students in the program to submit a piece for consideration,” Wojtasik said.

The editorial board welcomes poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, one-act plays, photographs, and artwork. The deadline for all materials is December 2, 2011.

All work can be submitted electronically at egelnak@sapc.edu or mailed to Anna Egeln, Gravity Hill, St. Andrews University, 1700 Dogwood Mile, Laurinburg, NC 28352.

Previous copies of Gravity Hill can be purchased at the St. Andrews Press Office for $5.00.
