SAU Open House scheduled for Saturday

Laurinburg, N.C. – St. Andrews University will hold an admissions open house for prospective students and their families on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.

“We are planning on close to 200 people attending this event based on pre-registration and past experience,” said Emily Womble, open house coordinator.

The day begins with registration at 9 a.m. in the James L. Morgan Liberal Arts Building.

From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. faculty and staff will be available for one-on-one conversations about academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular interests. This informal opportunity takes place in the John Blue Lab of the Morgan-Jones Science Building.

A formal introductory session begins at 10 a.m. in Avinger Auditorium and is followed by classroom experiences, a campus tour and lunch.

After lunch with current students, faculty, staff and alumni, an optional tour of the St. Andrews Equestrian Center is offered. During this special Open House, seniors who have applied to St. Andrews and are interested in riding competitively for the university have the opportunity to ride for the coaches. In order to participate in this specific opportunity, the high school senior must have applied to St. Andrews and pre-registered for the open house and the riding opportunity.

Anyone interested in attending the Open House is asked to pre-register, although there is no cost to participate. Pre-registration can be done by calling admissions at 800-763-0198 or going to the open house registration form.
