New faces join St. Andrews staff
Laurinburg, N.C. - St. Andrews University is pleased to announce new staff members Dwayne Ore, Megan Parlow and Meagan Carpenter-Dial.
Ore is the new Director for Enrollment Management for both the Laurinburg campus and Webber International University in Babson Park, Fla.
“Dwayne is very results orientated and brings to the job a strong combination of experience, leadership, teamwork and commitment,” said Campus President Paul Baldasare. “He has more than a decade of experience in successfully managing the enrollment process at several private institutions of higher education, including schools with more than one campus.”
Ore holds a bachelor’s degree in management and a master’s degree in strategic leadership.
Parlow has been appointed as the Director of the Center for Academic Success. She most recently served as an art teacher at West Johnston High School in Benson, with previous positions in Georgia and Germany.
"Megan's experience with high school juniors and seniors will help her work with those students who are transitioning from high school to St. Andrews," said Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean Robert Hopkins. "She has a keen understanding of the challenge students face as they begin their university studies."
Parlow holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of West Georgia and a Master's of Arts in Art Education from the University of Florida. She has received additional training designed to enhance her skills and talents in the classroom, including AIG Training, NC Reading Association Conference attendance and the European Council of International Schools Conference attendance.
Carpenter-Dial is the Director of Residential Services in the Office of Student Affairs.
"This position is part of the realignment we are doing in the Student Affairs Office to better address the needs of the students," said Vice President for Administration and Dean of Students Glenn Batten. "Her primary responsibilities will include judicial affairs, training and supervision of the resident directors and resident assistance, residence hall programming and behavioral intervention."
Prior to joining St. Andrews, Carpenter-Dial served as the Assistant Director of Admissions at the Chicago School of Psychology and taught at Richmond Community College. She has also been a training consultant with Buffalo Wild Wings, ARAMARK and the City of Los Angeles Police Department.
Carpenter-Dial holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a Master's of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the Chicago School of Psychology, Chicago. She is completing a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at the Chicago School of Psychology, Los Angeles.
