Open Mic to end fall semester Writers’ Forum at SAU

Laurinburg, N.C. - The St. Andrews University Writers’ Forum will close out the fall semester schedule with an Open Mic this Thursday beginning at 8 p.m. in the Ronald H. Bayes Writers’ Forum Lounge in Orange Residence Hall of the University campus.

“This tradition allows for all writers to share with a community of their creative peers,” said Dr. Ted Wojtasik, faculty advisor of the Forum. “We invite poets, musicians, fiction writers, and non-fiction writers from the area to come out to share their talent.”

Individuals interested in sharing their work are invited to sign up the night of the reading with student host Jennifer George. Readings are limited to between five and seven minutes to allow for all readers to have an opportunity to share.

The Forum will begin the spring semester schedule on Jan. 23 with a reading by St. Andrews Alumna Terra Elan McVoy.
