ANDERSON, S.C.—The St. Andrews Presbyterian College volleyball team was held to a .022 hitting percentage in its fourth straight Conference Carolinas loss as host Anderson University posted a 25-13, 25-23, 25-17 sweep on Saturday afternoon in the Abney Center.
Sophomore Heather Bolwerk (pictured) had five kills, three digs, and two assists against Anderson on Saturday.

The Trojans improved to 9-6 overall and 4-2 in the conference on the strength of a .264 hitting attack. The Lady Knights fall to 7-9 and 2-5.
Anderson broke a 6-6 tie in the first set with a 13-2 run to build a double digit lead before cruising to a 12-point win. St. Andrews held a 16-15 lead in the middle frame after a couple aces by senior Courtney McDonald (Leander, Texas), but the Trojans scored the next five points and narrowly held on for a two-point win. In the final period, Anderson scored the first three points and never trailed. The Trojans slowly increased their lead before ending the match with a seven-point win.
McDonald, who ranks second in the conference in digs, tallied a match-high 11 digs. McDonald also served up a team-high three aces.
Knights’ senior Galina Podolsky (Raleigh, N.C.) continues her strong play with a team-high eight kills and a .357 hitting percentage. Freshman Jessica Himalstein (Fort Myers, Fla.) and sophomore Heather Bolwerk (Appleton, Wis.) followed with six and five kills, respectively.
SAPC freshman Kelly Stine (Fort Collins, Colo.) posted a team-high 11 assists while senior Jamie Hayes (Gulf Breeze, Fla.) made seven assists. The setter tandem of Stine and Hayes also helped on defense with six digs apiece.
The Trojans were led by Jamie Lancaster, who posted a 13 kill, 10 dig double-double. Lindsay Doggett had a match-high 27 assists and a team-high three aces. Paulette Rivers chipped in with six spikes and a match-high four total blocks.
St. Andrews returns home for a Conference Carolinas tilt against league leading Mount Olive College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
