HIGH POINT, N.C.—St. Andrews Presbyterian College’s Kerrie Brown (2-2 overall, 2-2 conf.) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas women's lacrosse Player of the Week during week number two in the 2009 season.

Junior attack Kerrie Brown scored nine goals on the road this past week helping the St. Andrews women's lacrosse team maintain a .500 record in four away Conference Carolinas games to start the season.

Brown was the leading goal scorer in both games this week including four goals at Pfeiffer University Wednesday and a season-high five goals at Queens University of Charlotte on Saturday.

Brown's seven points against the Royals, led the Knights to its first ever win against Queens. Brown started the week with a five-point performance against the Falcons. Brown also averaged 3.0 ground balls and 1.5 caused turnovers per game.

The Irondequoit, N.Y., native is averaging a staggering 6.0 points per game, leading SAPC with 13 goals, 11 assists, and 24 points in four games.

Brown has been tabbed the league’s Player of the Week four times in her career so far.

Brown and the Lady Knights lacrosse team will be playing three non-conference games in Denver, Colorado over Spring Break including Shippensburg University on Thursday, Regis University on Saturday, and Seton Hill University on Sunday.
