LAURINBURG, N.C.—St. Andrews Presbyterian College junior attack Kerrie Brown (Irondequoit, N.Y.) has been selected to the Second Team of the Womenslacrosse.com NCAA Division II All-American list announced on Tuesday evening.

Junior Kerrie Brown (pictured) was selected a Second Team All-American by Womenslacrosse.com on Tuesday evening.

Brown, who was named to the All-American Rookie Team by Womenslacrosse.com in 2007, earned Second Team All-American laurels after leading the Lady Knights in all three offensive categories in 2009.

Brown finished the season perched atop the St. Andrews statistics with 65 goals, 37 assists, and 102 points this past year while adding 39 draw controls, 29 ground balls, and 13 caused turnovers. She scored at least one goal in all 19 games this past season.

As of the May 10th statistics report by the NCAA, Kerrie Brown ranks second nationally with 102 points on the season. Brown ranks seventh nationally with 5.37 points per game, 11th nationally with 1.95 assists per game, and 18th nationally with 3.42 goals per game.

Brown keeps piling up the awards in 2009 after being selected a Conference Carolinas First Team All-Conference honoree, a two-time Conference Carolinas Player of the Week, and the Lady Knights team Most Outstanding Player award recipient. She led the conference in points per game and was second in the league in both goals and assists per game.

The three-time All-Conference selection has already shattered the St. Andrews women’s lacrosse record books with 197 career goals, 72 career assists, and 268 career points heading into her senior season.

Brown, a 2008 IWLCA/US Women’s Lacrosse All-Region award winner, is still waiting to find out if she has earned 2009 IWLCA/US Women’s Lacrosse All-Region or All-American honors (which are scheduled to be released on May 21).
