HAMPTON, Va.—Matt Fletcher provided the St. Andrews Presbyterian College wrestling team with an early lead on Duquesne University but the NCAA Division I program was able to rally back for a 38-7 victory Friday afternoon in both teams second match of the 2009 Virginia Duals Tournament hosted by the Peninsula Wrestling Association at the Hampton Convention Center.

The Knights (0-4 overall) will wrap up their tournament competition in a consolation match against another D-I opponent, Wagner College, on Friday at 3 p.m.

Fletcher, a freshman lightweight from Stephens City, Va., improved to 2-2 on the season in dual matches by tallying a 9-2 decision in the opening match against the Dukes.

Sophomore Greg Todd (Gloucester, Va.) bounced back from 2-1 loss in his first match of the day by earning his first dual match victory of the year in the 157-pound ranks. Todd coasted to a 10-1 major decision over the Dukes grappler, providing SAPC with four team points and keeping the score close, 13-7, after five matches.

Duquesne (2-2) rallied from its early deficit with a pair of pin falls and three major decisions before earning 18 more points on three straight forfeit victories.
