Spring Orientation 2014 Schedule


New Student Orientation January 6 - 8

Please Note: Some events may change. A final scheduled will be provided in the packet you pick up at registration.


Monday, January 6: ALL New Students

9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Orientation Check-In

Come to the Belk Center to get an Orientation schedule and being the check-in process. You will receive keys to your room and Residence Hall. Taking Care of Business Tour Guides will help you find the offices you need to complete the following parts of the clearance process:

  • Admissions Office
  • Financial Aid
  • Health & Wellness
  • Business Office
  • Campus Safety (Student IDs, Vehicle Registration)
You must attend this session in order to receive your clearance card.

12 - 1 p.m. Lunch Knight's Dining Hall
1 - 4 p.m.

Getting Settled and Complete Business

Take some time to get settled into your Residence Hall room. Make a Walmart run or get acquainted with he Laurinburg area. Complete campus business as needed.

4 - 5 p.m.

Campus Life

Liz Hernandez, assistant dean of students, will discuss life on campus and how to make the most of your St. Andrews community experience.

5 - 6:15 p.m. Dinner Knight's Dining Hall
7:30 p.m.

New Student Social

Enjoy a casual evening while hanging out with fellow students. Meet current student leaders, ask questions about a day in the life of a St. Andrews student, and hear about real campus experiences and programs. Refreshments will be served. Hosted by SGA.

Welcome to St. Andrews

Dr. Edna Ann Loftus, associate dean for academic affairs, will welcome you to campus and discuss advising and registration. You will also sign the Honor Code and learn about the Saltire, the St. Andrews student handbook.

All new students must be advised to register for classes.
