Ethics Bowl Club
Club members work on ethics cases provided by the Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl, training to compete against fifteen other schools in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl at UNC Chapel Hill on November 15th. After working together for a couple of months, the members selected a group of six to go to Chapel Hill.
The four highest scoring schools can advance to the national Ethics Bowl competition early in 2009. “We did not place high enough to move on to the national competition, but our students had a great opportunity to get a feel for the event and watch how others approached the topics,” Dr. Deborah Hawkins said. Ongoing coaching is provided by Prof. Hawkins. Additional professors are called in for their expertise. |
