In their own words...
"As a first generation Latin American, it was different coming here, but I soon realized that I could just be me. St. Andrews is a school for people who like small classes and a close community."
- Anthony Fernandez, Class of '10

Gender Justice Club

The Gender Justice Club is an organization that focuses on involving the St. Andrews Community with activities related to gender issues. We participate in a number of volunteer activities with the Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Center of Scotland Country. We coordinate with Scotia Village to host an annual Women’s History Forum. We help organize and sponsor an annual Candlelight Vigil to support Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We also help sponsor speakers on campus, raise funds or supplies for a variety of organizations such as a children’s home in Mozambique, sponsor movie nights, and collect donations of clothing and goods for local charities. Everyone is welcome to participate with any of the club activities. If you are interested in being on the club mailing list, please contact Betsy Dendy (dendybet@sapc.edu).
