In their own words...
"As a first generation Latin American, it was different coming here, but I soon realized that I could just be me. St. Andrews is a school for people who like small classes and a close community."

"S.A. made me grow up and become an active campus member. I worked in the cafeteria for three of my four years. By my Junior year I became the student manager. My job duties included hiring and firing students, doing payroll, scheduling student workers, etc. This job gave me confidence to work as an adult with multiple responsibilities. Also while i was attending St. Andrews a girls' volleyball team was started. I tried out for the team and made it! For me that was a real accomplishment! All my life I was a fat person who was uncoordinated. Making the team made me feel like I could do anything! By my senior year I ran and won the Wilmington Dorm president and student council. Representing my dorm in student government continued to increase my self confidence. So, St. Andrews made me to grow up as a responsible and versatile adult" (2008)
